Travel by Train

The closest Amtrak (train) stations to the Crowne Plaza hotel are Meriden (MDN) and Berlin/Kensington (BER).

The M Link bus line travels from the Meriden Station to the Walmart close to the hotel (see the Bus travel section above for more information).

The Berlin/Kensington station is 4.4 miles from the hotel, if you want to arrange for a taxi or a friend to pick you up.

Station hours:

Berlin: Monday - Friday 6:15am - 2:45pm

Meriden: Monday - Friday 6:15am - 3pm

BOTH STATIONS ARE CLOSED ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

If you are departing from a station that has a ticket office or a Quik-Trak self service ticketing machine open at your departure time, then you will be offered the option of picking up your ticket at the station when making your reservation online. You may pick up the ticket on the day or travel or any time prior. If you are departing from an unstaffed station or a station where the ticket office is closed at your departure time, then you can only make the reservation online if Amtrak has enough time to mail the ticket to you. Tickets for reservations made 9 or more days before travel can be mailed through the US Postal Service. Tickets for reservations made 4-8 days before travel can only be mailed via FedEx for a $15.00 fee. Or, you can make the reservation by phone, no earlier than 3 days before travel and then board the train and purchase a ticket from the conductor, showing a valid photo ID. You may pay with cash, credit or debit. You may use senior, disabled and active military discount fares onboard the train. You cannot use membership discounts, such as AAA, Student Advantage or Veterans Advantage onboard.

Amtrak information and reservations may be obtained by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). Press '0' or say 'agent' to bypass the automated system.
